Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 stick unsalted butter
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 lb. breakfast sausage, cooked
4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 tbsp. green onion, chopped
1 cup cold buttermilk
Honey, warmed
A perfect blend of savory and sweet for breakfast.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 400˚F.
2.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3.In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
4.Grate the butter into the bowl and toss to combine evenly.
5.Fold in the sausage, cheddar cheese and green onion.
6.Add in the buttermilk and stir to combine into a moist dough.
7.Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a rectangle.
8.Then, fold the dough over in half and cluster dough into balls to create individual biscuits.
9.Transfer the biscuits to the prepped baking sheet.
10.Brush the tops of the biscuits with cream.
11.Bake approx. 15 - 17 min., until the tops are a golden brown.
12.Remove from oven, and let cool for 5 min. Drizzle the tops with warm honey.
