1 pack of uncooked elbow macaroni | |
1/3 cup butter | |
6 tbsp flour | |
3/4 tsp salt | |
1/3 tsp pepper | |
3 cups whole milk | |
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese | |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese powder | |
3/4 cup cracked butter crackers | |
1/4 cup parsley to garnish |
Comfort food = carbs. Indulge in this cheesy goodness.
1. | Cook macaroni according to directions on package. |
2. | Set oven to 350 degrees. |
3. | In a pan, melt better over medium high heat. Stir in flour. Add milk, and begin to stir frequently for 2 -3 min. |
4. | Stir in the cheddar and parmesan cheese. Reduce heat to low until melted, and sauce has thickened. |
5. | Pour cooked macaroni into a 9x13 baking dish. |
6. | Pour sauce over macaroni. Stir evenly. |
7. | Bake for approximately 40 - 45 min. Garnish with parsley. |
8. | Add cracked butter crackers over the top. |
